New press release - Research deficits and research needs for the Arctic and Antarctic identified

Researchers at the University of Rostock have made an important contribution to an international landmark article about the lack of knowledge and research needs in the life sciences in the polar regions. This particularly involves the use of modern molecular biology methods to record marine and terrestrial biodiversity as well as the adaptation of polar organisms to extreme environmental conditions and their threat from global warming. This important keynote article was published by the renowned journal "Nature Communications".
